    I use nmap for portscans, usually running from an external server if scanning   
   my own IP's.   
      
    nmap -P -n    
      
    The https://www.canyouseeme.org/ website that Sean mentioned is good too -   
   useful if you just want to check your port forwarding setup.   
      
    I for one am glad you got your BBS back up. Sometimes it's useful to login to   
   the hub and check messages etc. I will be calling!
