MSGID: 2:250/1@fidonet 62195526       CHRS: UTF-8 2       TZUTC: 0000       TID: MBSE-FIDO 1.0.8 (Linux-x86_64)       Hello All!              All is now working (unless some one says otherwise) as I can now log in using       ssh -l bbs and ditto telnet -l bbs              Where existing bbs users can use their login name instead of bbs.              What was wrong ?              1. Had to add ssh service along side the telnet one to the mbsebbs file under       xinetd.d              2. Re-install sshd and telnetd but I might well remove the later.       3. Testing for the sysop was broke as the signon script was wrong as it was        set       to the default and this no doubt due to building a new distro version and       forgot to amend the /etc/passwd entries for bbs users as mbse set up do not       handle it - no quite reasonably - done to the sysop any way.              Adjusted the system security to allow for the lower level programs that run       under mbse to execute for external services namely ssh and telnet without       needing MAC details pre-stored - a hack within a hack. This is for my system       which is very non standard because of some installed hardware and software.       Not so sure this one was needed but did it any way as it helps improve http        and       ftp service.              So more likely than not nothing to do with the routers (for a change) but I       will not bet the farm on this.              Of course no I will never get bbs visitors going online but such is life.       Now back to the getting (later by the day) programming completed some time       this quarter along with the documentation.              Thanks for all that posted about it as it was a word or two that gave me an       indirect hint of where to start looking.              Vincent              --- Mageia Linux v8 X64/Mbse v1.0.7.24/GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5-b20180707        * Origin: Air Applewood, The Linux Gateway to the UK & Eire (2:250/1)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 15/0 18/200 25/0 21 90/1 105/81 106/201 120/340 123/131       SEEN-BY: 129/305 330 331 138/146 153/7715 218/700 226/30 227/114 229/110       SEEN-BY: 229/206 317 400 424 426 428 452 550 664 700 240/5832 250/0       SEEN-BY: 250/1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10 11 21 263/0 266/512 275/100 1000 282/1038       SEEN-BY: 292/854 301/1 317/3 320/219 322/757 342/11 200 396/45 460/58       SEEN-BY: 633/280 640/1321 712/848 3634/12       PATH: 250/1 275/1000 153/7715 229/426           |
