Hi Nick!              Nicholas Boel wrote to Scott Street:       NB> > No editing of source needed; MBSE configures much like most of the DOS        NB> > based BBSs of the past. I've already installed it, and can't find any ansi        NB> files for the life of me.               They're in /opt/mbse/share/int/txtfiles/en, for the English language ones.       They get installed as, for instance, txtfiles-en.tar in /usr/share/mbsebbs/int       and during the post install that gets install to the MBBS directory if it is       not already present. I.E.; during a new install. I did it that way so that       upgrades will provide new versions of the files without actually affecting the       files that the sysop is actually using.                     NB> Then again, for some reason MBSE likes to take over your whole       NB> system,                            NB> not being able to put everything into subdirectories of /opt/mbse.                What do you mean? That's where most everything is going, though I hope to       do some testing later on with a more standard layout instead of using       /opt/mbse. (Very doubtful that we could get it into a standard distribution       otherwise...)               The html directory gets installed to       /usr/share/doc/mbsebbs, with a softlink to there from /opt/mbse/html. The doc       directory being like that is standard for a Debian based system, and the       softlink is for those who might be familiar with MBSE BBS from a source       compiled install. There is also a directory with example files that are       installed to /usr/share/doc/mbsebbs/examples.               The /usr/share/mbsebbs directory is where the standard language, menu,       template, and txtfiles are installed; if not already present, like during a       new install, those get copied to the usual mbse directories.               If all that isn't happening, I need to know... |
