Hi Nick!              Nicholas Boel wrote to Scott Street:       NB> > No editing of source needed; MBSE configures much like most of the DOS        NB> > based BBSs of the past. I've already installed it, and can't find any ansi        files       NB> for the life of me. Then again, for some reason MBSE likes to take over        NB> your whole system, not being able to put everything into subdirectories        NB> of /opt/mbse. can look further, but so far I haven't found anything.               What do you mean? The /opt/mbse directory is where most everything gets       installed, though I hope to do so some testing later on with a more standard       layout instead of just using /opt/mbse. (Isn't likely to get into a standard       distribution otherwise...)               The standard language, menu, template, and txtfiles are copied to the       standard mbse directories as part of the installation. The package doesn't       install them there directly to allow for changes by the sysop to the files       actually being used by the installed MBSE BBS system, so upgrades will provide       the new copies of the file but won't directly affect MBBS. If that's not       happening properly, I need to know... |
