unfortunately i'm not aware of any specific trackers for linux... on my OS/2
box, running the main BBS and HUB mailer stuff, i use OT-Track... it has
bounced my own messages back to me because the destination node wasn't in the
nodelist... this would be, for example, when i was adding them and getting them
    started...

the trick is to be able to run an external tool on new netmails living in the
mailer's MSG netmail directory so that it can mark them with a VIA control line
as well as other processing like bouncing netmails addressed to unknown
systems... after this processing, the next outbound scan should pack up those
bounces and send them back to the originator... so basically, we toss to get
the mail into the netmail area then we process the netmail area with tools like
netmgr and OT-Track and finally we scan outbound mail to send out possible
   replies...

Do you manage your own servers? If you are not running an IDS/IPS yer doin' it
   wrong...
