I try to keep up as best I can.. ;)              BP> AI> You can connect directly to MBSE via telnet, IFC, ITN and Binkp. :)       BP>        BP> Direct Connect is P2P protocol, that means if i have huge files in fidonet        BP> it wont drain my own bandwidth to download it via P2P if MBSE supported        BP> DC+ protocol, i cant understand that in 2015 its still just using FTN        BP> without P2P support              It is an interesting idea and I have heard it floated before. I am just a user       of MBSE though and not a developer so.. :)              BP> ----- p2p begins -----              BP> [N] net-p2p/rtorrent (0.9.3): BitTorrent Client using libtorrent       BP> [N] net-p2p/transmission (2.84-r4): A Fast, Easy and Free BitTorrent        client              When I need these sort of things I use one of those two.              BP> software exists, but why not use it direct in MBSE ?              A starting place would be needed, is there a proposal that we could use as       a starting point. It would need to be usable across BBS and/or mailer types       wouldn't it?              An interesting idea but it seems complicated to me.              I guess torrent files could be made available on the BBS instead of the       actual file, as long as they are seeded.               Ttyl :-),        Al              ... "Diplomacy" is letting them have it your way.              --- MBSE BBS v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux-x86_64)        * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (1:153/757)    |
