All,              > .... I've tried getting the various MBSE BBS code repositories (CVS,       > HG) all into on GIT repo; I've had some success at that but I'm not       > sure the resulting repo has everything in it.               More precisely, what I have are imports cvs history to GIT from the old       CVS repository at Sourceforge and separately from Michiels' CVS repository.        Haven't had a chance to try doing an import mirror of his mecurial       repository...               One issue is that because they came from different repositories, the       commit IDs are different even for the same tags. There are also differences       in what commits are actually present even at the similar points in time, like       late April of 2004 (which is where the one from SF ends...). Presumably       because of the CVS issues that brought Michiel to move to using a CVS       repository to his own system. Might could merge the two versions, but it       might be more trouble       than it's worth... (Might make an text archive, via fast-export, of at least       the SF one, though...)               The one imported from Michiels CVS repo has entries up through 28 Dec 08.        Latest Tag in it is for "Stable release 0.92.0", on 16 Oct 07. Been thinking       of getting that imported into my mbsedeb repository, with a branch name of       something like mbcvs/MAIN or something like that...               That would give the mbse history considerably more depth, but still leaves       the later information in his mercurial repository. Looked at how to do       imports/mirrors of that, but haven't gotten to the point of any testing of       doing it...                      Jame              --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag        * Origin: Rocasa BBS (1:120/546)    |
