But the way I'm describing it only needs the downlink part of the       description. I'm talking about the mail I'm receiving here sometimes comes in       perfect (like your last message to me with the umlauted character, came through       just fine). With putting MY node into the equation, that would only be an       uplink problem (ie: someone that assists in the process of getting mail down       the line to me).               > No, there's a back and forth flow of mail that goes both directions, so it        > can't be a trickle affect.              I get what you're saying here too. For example, if a sysop sent an umlauted       character to his/her NC, and the NC couldn't process it correctly, it would end       up at Janis's system already messed up. Then again, I was only referring to       right here on my system, to which I suppose _everyone_ would be an uplink to       me. :)               > No. You're the downlink of the Star, but you also send mail to the Star.        > AKA uplink.              I must get echomail through random paths, though. Because sometimes high ascii       gets here just fine, and other times it doesn't. Yet ALL mail routes through       Janis and the stars, correct?               LOL, for some reason I thought about Benny and the Jets when saying Janis and       the stars. :)              --       Nick aka axisd - telnet://bbs.pharcyde.org        http://pharcyde.org       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: thePharcyde_ telnet://bbs.pharcyde.org (Wisconsin) (1:154/10)    |
