   It only occurs if you use generic names for input segments, allowing MakeNL to   
   generate julian date extensions.  If your input segments are all specific   
   filenames with extensions, the problem will not occur.

   I agree that it needs to change.  In the short term, I will increase the age   
   limit.  Removing it altogether will probably require a bit of rewriting.
