   FWIW: i don't see any problem with the current age limit BUT makenlng should   
   not delete or move files that it thinks are "too old"... it should accept them   
   as the latest ones and process them just like always... if a netseg, or region   
   seg is a year old or more, then it should be processed... if a new one comes   
   in to replace it, ok... do that but otherwise, keep what's in the "master"   
   directory and use it...   
      
   FWIW2: i have seen makenlng flat out delete files because it didn't like them   
   for some reason... why'd it delete them? no badfiles directory was defined!   
   perhaps badfiles should be required in the settings options so that files are   
   moved there instead of being deleted without warning??
