   seems to me that bj”rn had a lot to do with the current sources... IIRC, back   
   in 1992, he was one of the original folks to disassemble the existing makenl   
   from Ben Baker's binary... two others involved were Michael Karcher, and Franz   
   Zimmer but i only find documentation concerning them starting in 1999... all   
   of this documentation is on the sourceforge site as well as being distributed   
   with the binaries we are currently moving to...
