   Hi Benny!

   > still latest version ?

The version v3.2.9 is still the current official source. There is code
for a v3.2.9a in the repository, but that hasn't been made into a distribution
   archive as yet...

I plan to look at that archive that Gert apparently distributed (it's not
an official archive, to my knowledge) to see what is in it..

Homepage is now makenl.sourceforge.net (that hub2000 site may still be
defined in DNS, but to my knowledge nothing has responded there for quite some
   time...).

   > SRC_URI="http://www.filegate.net/coordutl/mn329src.zip"

That source url is good for the files that are distributed via the
filegate. All files are (or should be) available from the MakeNL project site
at sourceforge, including ones that don't get distributed...
I realize that configuring a good source URL isn't always easy, especially
for SourceForge... (Which reminds me; I need to test that for the debian
packaging again, since SF has been making changes again...)

I don't think that the in-between (fix type) versions, like 3.2.9a that one
of us still need to do, are always distributed that way; but they'll always be
   available at the project site.

   > is makenl_ng and makenl diff sources code ?

      Not that I'm aware of...

   > if so i need to make another ebuild ?

Not unless you want to do one for things like the fix versions, like
   3.2.9a..

I'd still like to create an RPM distribution archive, along with the debian
archive I having working (but haven't decided how to make available, though
I'll likely put the debian source files up at the SourceForge site)...

   > get qico fixed to work with latest perl :)

qico is also enabled for Perl? Is the documentation still non-english?
(where would be a good place to discuss that?)
