      Of course I have. Over and over again, but you never listened. For 13 years   
   now, I've told all the nodelist clerks about it over and over again, in all   
   the echoes I could think of.   
      
      What surprises me most, is that the German part of Fidonet -- now almost as   
   large as the Russian -- still don't bother to take the fight to make it   
   possible to have umlauted characters in the nodelist.   
      
      The Germans are (still) much more powerful than e.g. us Swedes. We here in   
   Sweden have been fighting to make the stubborn USAians accept that the world   
   has more than 26 characters in it, for more than 20 years, to no avail.   
      
      The FTSC archives are full of various, Swedish attempts to incorporate at   
   least all the other Latin characters into Fidonet (CHRS kludges and similar),   
   but all the attempts have been futile.
