     Add what 'functionality'?  Dosn't that already have the cpability to    
   (judging by the name) somewhere, from a text file?   Crashmail can do that    
   (directly to a packet file.) Other apps can. I plan to make such a capability    
   available to Perl scripts, using the FTN::Packet or FTN::JAM modules.

     Notifications besides logging is indeed useful, but what it doesn't already    
   do could be done by generating the message in a text rile in some standard    
   way.   (Amongst other things; some messages I'd like sent and/or cc'ed via
