   Actually another reason is the diffs can be quite lengthy, eg. one recent   
   commit from me recently ended up generating a 95K email. Unless you wanted to   
   strip out the diffs somehow. I doubt most people here would want to read diffs   
   anyway. In fact I doubt most people here want to see CVS update notices for   
   trivial changes either. *shrug*
