A large group of amateurs will be QRV from September 28       to 30 as CU1ARM, CU2ARA, CU3URA, CU4ARG, CU5AM, CU6GRP, CU7CRA,       CU8ARF and CU9AC from nine populated Azores islands, IOTAs EU-003,       EU-175 and EU-089, as part of a demonstration promoting the role of       Amateur Radio emergency communications. Activity will be on 40, 20       and 17 meters using CW and SSB. QSL all calls via bureau or direct       via CU2CE. In addition, look for Mike, KI1U to be QRV as CT8/KI1U       during the CQ WW RTTY contest. He may also be active on satellite       AO-27 if conditions permit. The CQ Worldwide RTTY DX Contest, NCCC       Sprint, Microwave Fall Sprint, Texas QSO Party and the UBA ON       6-Meter Contest are all scheduled for this upcoming weekend. The       ARS Spartan CW Sprint is scheduled for October 2. The 432 MHz Fall       Sprint is scheduled for October 3.
