   CYPRUS, 5B.  Carolyn, KC9URR and Pat, KC9UUS are QRV as 5B/homecalls   
   until June 15.  Activity is holiday style mostly on 20 meters using   
   SSB.  QSL to home calls.   
      
   TANZANIA, 5H.  Chas, NK8O is working at Mwanza on Lake Victoria and   
   plans to be active as 5H3CP from June 11 to 22.  Activity will be in   
   his spare time with QRP power on various HF bands using CW.  QSL to

   BHUTAN, A5.  Operators JA1JQY, JK1EBA, JA3MCA, JA1KJW and JA8VE are   
   QRV as A52JY, A52BA, A52MA, A52KJ and A52VE, respectively, from   
   Thimphu until June 14.  Activity is on 160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB   
   and RTTY.  They have a 6 meter beacon on 50125 kHz.  QSL to home

   CUBA, CO.  Members of the Radio Club Las Tunas will be QRV as T48K   
   in the ARRL June VHF QSO Party as a Limited Multi Op entry.  They   
   plan to be active on 6 and 2 meters.  QSL via DK1WI.   
      
   PHILIPPINES, DU.  Dandy, K6ZRH will be QRV as K6ZRH/DU1 from Palawan   
   Island, IOTA OC-128, from June 10 to 30.  Activity will be on 40, 20

   MARQUESAS ISLANDS, FO.  Christian, F5IDM is QRV as TX5VT until June   
   12 and is active from the islands Hiva Oa, Nuku Hiva, Ua Huka and Ua

   ST. MARTIN, FS.  John, K9EL is QRV as FS/K9EL until June 24.

   end of the year in celebration of the 500th birthday of Gerhard   
   Mercator, the cartographer named for the Mercator projection world

   GREECE, SV.  Mike, SV1RK and Stavros, SV3CJU are QRV as J48SAI from   
   Sapienza Island, IOTA EU-158, until June 10.  Activity is on the HF   
   bands plus 6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY.  QSL via SV1RK.   
      
   CORSICA, TK.  Alex, IW5ELA is QRV as TK/IW5ELA from Calvi until June

   R1150V until August 31 in celebration of the 1150th anniversary of

   Hill in St. Peters Parish until June 12.  Activity is on 80 to 2   
   meters using SSB, with some CW and possibly PSK.  This includes   
   being an entry in the ARRL June VHF QSO Party.  QSL direct to home

   MACAO, XX9.  Jose, EB5BBM is QRV as XX9TBM until June 10.  Activity   
   is in his spare time on 20, 17 and 15 meters using SSB.  QSL via

   OPERATION APPROVED FOR DXCC CREDIT.  The following operation is   
   approved for DXCC credit:  Macao, XX9E, 2012 operation.   
      
   THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  The ARRL June VHF QSO Party, NCCC RTTY   
   Sprint, World Wide South America Contest, NCCC Sprint CW Ladder,   
   DRCG Long Distance RTTY Contest, VK Shires Contest, Asia-Pacific SSB   
   Sprint, Portugal Day Contest, GACW WWSA CW DX Contest, REF DDFM   
   6-Meter Contest and SKCC Weekend CW Sprintathon are all on tap for   
   this upcoming weekend.  The RSGB 80-Meter Club CW Championship,   
   NAQCC-EU Monthly CW Sprint, NAQCC Straight Key/Bug CW Sprint and   
   CWops Mini-CWT CW Test are all scheduled for June 13.  Please see

   designated a global "center of activity" frequency  in  each   
   of  the  international  hf  bands.  THese are similar to the   
   concept for weak signal calling and other center of activity   
   frequencies.  Three of these have been ratified worldwide.   
      
   THese  center of activity frequencies are where stations can   
   go to render or obtain emergency assistance.   
      
   WHen casually operating or  contesting  on  hf  please  make   
   yourself  aware  of  these  frequencies,  and give them some   
   space. Remember that often stations with emergency needs are   
   not  those  utilizing  high  gain antennas and maximum legal   
   power.
