   yes and no... the app i've written and been using did not have to strip html   
   originally because yahoo was sending text only posts as it was configured to   
   do for the email account used... then something happened and a few with html   
   came through anyway so i modified the app to try to handle it... the biggest   
   problem in the beginning was quoted-printable stuff... my app has worked to   
   alter those character sequences into their CP437 equivelents... copyright and   
   trademark symbols being the most common...

   it has definitely bee noticed ;)  especially since i get the newsletter 3 or   
   four times on different accounts for insurance and comparison :)
