   MAURITIUS, 3B8.  Jacques, F1BCS is QRV as 3B8/home call until   
   December 17.  Activity is on 20, 17 and 15 meters using SSB, RTTY   
   and PSK.  QSL to home call.   
      
   VIET NAM, 3W.  Bruce, XW1B is QRV as 3W3B on the HF bands.  QSL via   
   E21EIC.   
      
   DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO, 9Q.  Operators ON4HIL, ON4ATW,   
   ON6CC, ON4IA, ON4CIT and PA3EWP are QRV as 9Q50ON until December 13   
   in commemoration of the 50 years of independence of the Democratic   
   Republic of the Congo.  Activity is on 160 to 10 meters using CW and   
   SSB.  QSL via ON4BR.   
      
   SINGAPORE, 9V.  9V1AS and 9V1CZ will be QRV as special event   
   stations in the JAMB100 Scout Jamboree from December 4 to 8.   
   Activity will be on 40, 20 and 15 meters.  QSL via operators'   
   instructions.   
      
   BAHRAIN, A9.  David, A92GE has been QRV on 40 meters CW around 1430   
   to 1530z.  QSL to home call.   
      
   URUGUAY, CX.  A group of operators are QRV as CW3TD from Timoteo   
   Dominguez Island, IOTA SA-057, until December 6.  Activity is on 160   
   to 2 meters, with an emphasis on the digital modes.  QSL via EB7DX.   
      
   SABLE ISLAND, CY0.  Operators AA4VK, N0TG and WA4DAN will be QRV as   
   CY0/home calls from December 6 to 13.  Activity will be on 160 to 6   
   meters using CW, SSB and RTTY with three stations active   
   simultaneously.  QSL all calls direct via N0TG and bureau cards via   
   home calls.   
      
   SOUTH COOK ISLANDS, E5.  Andy, AB7FS, is QRV as E51AND from Arorangi   
   on Rarotonga Island, IOTA OC-013, until January 1.  Activity is on   
   the HF bands.  QSL to home call.   
      
   COLOMBIA, HK.  Special event station 5K3B will be QRV on December 8   
   in celebration of the Bicentenary Colombian Independence.  Activity   
   will be on 80 through 6 meters from the traditional district of La   
   Candelaria.  QSL via HK3O.   
      
   ST. LUCIA, J6.  Operators N7UN, W3FF, K8EAB, W7ZT, N4LA, K4MK, NX8L   
   and W4OKW will be QRV as J6/home calls or J68UN from December 5 to   
   13.  Activity will be on 160 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY.   
   They may also be active as J6BP in the upcoming ARRL 10-Meter   
   contest.  QSL via operators instructions.   
      
   MARIANA ISLANDS, KH0.  Operators JE7DMH and JN7GLC are QRV as   
   WH0/WH7C until December 6.  Activity is on 80 to 6 meters using CW,   
   SSB and FM.  QSL via JE7DMH.   
      
   PALAU, T8.  Operators JA1LPH and JG1IDX will be QRV as T88SC and   
   T88SQ, respectively, from December 8 to 12.  Activity will be on 20,   
   15 and 10 meters using SSB.  QSL to home calls.   
      
   MARSHALL ISLANDS, V7.  Operators N3QQ and NL8F will be QRV as V73QQ   
   and V73TM, respectively, from Enewetak Atoll, IOTA OC-087, from   
   December 5 to 7.  From December 8 to 11, they will be active as   
   V73RRC from Ujeland Atoll, IOTA OC-078.  QSL V73RRC and V73TM via   
   K8NA and V73QQ via N7RO.   
      
   CAMBODIA, XU.  Nob, JA1FMZ will be QRV as XU7FMZ from December 9 to   
   22.  Activity is holiday style.  This includes an entry in the   
   upcoming ARRL 10-Meter contest.  QSL to home call.   
      
   ZIMBABWE, Z2.  Mirek, VK6DXI will be QRV as Z21DXI from Bulawayo   
   from December 6 to 17 while on work assignment.  His activity will   
   be limited.  QSL via SP5UAF.   
      
   TRISTAN DA CUNHA AND GOUGH ISLANDS, ZD9.  Dieter, DJ2EH is QRV as   
   ZD9T from Tristan da Cunha, IOTA AF-029, until December 8.  Activity   
   is on all HF bands using CW, SSB and RTTY.  QSL to home call.   
      
   CHATHAM ISLANDS, ZL7.  Hiro, JF1OCQ is QRV as ZL7A and ZL7/W1SY   
   until December 9.  Activity is on 160 to 6 meters, with an emphasis   
   on 160 and 6 meters, using CW, SSB, RTTY, FM and PSK.  He also has a   
   6 meter beacon on 50117 kHz.  QSL ZL7A via JF1OCQ and ZL7/W1SY via   
   JE1SYN.   
      
   THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  The ARRL 160-Meter CW Contest, QRP CW   
   Fox Hunt, NCCC Sprint, TARA RTTY Melee, Wake-Up. QRP CW Sprint, TOPS   
   Activity CW Contest, EPC Ukraine DX BPSK63 Contest, AWA Bruce Kelley   
   Memorial CW Contest will certainly keep contesters busy this   
   weekend.  The ARS Spartan CW Sprint is scheduled for December 7.   
   The QRP CW Fox Hunt and CWops Mini-CWT Test are scheduled for

   designated a global "center of activity" frequency  in  each   
   of  the  international  hf  bands.  THese are similar to the   
   concept for weak signal calling and other center of activity   
   frequencies.  Three of these have been ratified worldwide.   
      
   THese  center of activity frequencies are where stations can   
   go to render or obtain emergency assistance.   
      
   WHen casually operating or  contesting  on  hf  please  make   
   yourself  aware  of  these  frequencies,  and give them some   
   space. Remember that often stations with emergency needs are   
   not  those  utilizing  high  gain antennas and maximum legal   
   power.
