Hello all!                     I may have posted similar here before, I know i have in       other forums, but ... cut to the chase.                     My endeavor these days is primarily on site recording, if i       do live sr at all these days it's a briefcase gig. But, I'm seeing only one       viable choice when it comes to converting my analog snakes, 54 channels of       heavy copper in two 27       pair bundles, and about 300+ feet in one run. That's a lot       of lugging.              Were I to make the jump today to digital snakes, lots of       channels of audio down cat5 or something I'd go with the       Audiorail system. That would petty much lock me into the       Yamaha digital console path, as Yamaha's interface cards       support litepipe, which the audio rail uses. I'd have a       choice of a few mic pre front ends to the audiorail.              Anybody out there know of anything else in development       lately when it comes to digital snakes?                     Regards,        Richard       ---        * Origin: (1:116/901)    |
