   why not just set up a point and do it the fidonet way? you can set up a point   
   with three pieces of FTN software...   
      
   fastecho, fmail or hpt for tosser...   
   binkd for mailer...   
   timed or golded for reader...   
   no need for zip or any archivers if you send raw PKTs back and forth...   
      
   you don't say what OS you're running on your desktop... the above is pretty   
   generic but geared toward winwhatever... for linux, hpt, binkd, and golded are   
   what i'm using... i don't even use a nodelist on this point system but if i   
   did, it would be the daily one so no diffs need be applied...
