   how many stars it can render.  Besides you'll be no closer than you are with   
   4k given the 'infinite' number of them in comparison.

   So far all I have that requires python2 is seamonkey.  Everything else has   
   either been abandoned or hacked where needed, although at the moment I can   
   only think of one app that requires messing with the version (gpsd) and I   
   don't actually use it that much, mostly testing ideas.  I can live without it.

   As far as I am personally concerned, I see no need for either.  Near as I can   
   tell it's a hacking tool for Windows types.  Also none of the fidonet stuff   
   requires any version of python that I am aware of.  I have seen at least one   
   BBS that is python based but haven't heard about it in around a decade now.
