Did you have a problem with grub saying there were no valid file systems found?

I ran into that and couldn't install grub. Even using a grub rescue cd failed
to load up. I was building a fresh install after making changes to my
partition scheme so I had fresh partitions with new ext4 file systems on them.

I archived /mnt/lfs and did a quick install of an older slackware and did the
partitions over and created new file systems with the older tools and
extracted the lfs archive and I was good to go.

A bit of a rodeo but I'm back in business. From what I gather after reading a
bit of google searches grub looks these newer file systems and sees features
it doesn't recognize so it fails bummer. I'm hoping for a new grub release,
this one could be a deal breaker for those using newer tools to create a new
   file system.

I actually tried building grub from git but I was missing dependencies and
wasn't sure where to get them.
