At first you talked about old distro, now we are       talking about old systems. The first is software, the second is hardware and       software in my understanding.               BH> to get into irc.freenode.net they got taken over and deleted a bunch        BH> of accounts mine was one of the firsts, almost 18 year old account and        BH> was deleted               BH> They have killed the old school command line clients..              No, you died due to ageing. Nothing lasts forever.       You can stop but the world will move on.              I don't see how we could be helpful. If you have an old computer a virtual       machine would not be working. I put an old windows95 programm into a       VirtualBox VM and it sill works well but it doesn't need to be online.              To keep in touch with online services you need to update to supported       protocols. The only option i see if you have really no other option to migrate       your system is a gateway server that can talk to the actual world with the       latest security protocols and translates the data to the outdated ex-standards.              Regards              Kai              --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.4.7        * Origin: Monobox (2:240/77)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 14/0 90/1 105/81 114/709 120/340 123/131 129/305 226/30       SEEN-BY: 227/114 702 229/424 426 428 452 550 616 664 700 1017 240/77       SEEN-BY: 240/420 5138 5411 5824 5832 5853 249/206 317 400 280/464       SEEN-BY: 282/1038 292/854 301/1 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 342/200       SEEN-BY: 633/280 2432/390 2452/250 2454/119       PATH: 240/77 5832 229/426           |
