What prevents just recompiling these programs? On better systems, that may be
done with a single run of rpmbuild. On really good systems, the packages are
rebuilt in a clean fresh-installed environment from a git tag to the binary
archive (.rpm) with one single command.

BH> Don't really have enough room for a dual boot system. Does anyone
BH> know of a light Browser that has all the SSL built in??

There's only one real browser, and it could be rebuilt that way. Also, it's
possible to keep several versions of OpenSSL (libcrypto+libssl) in one system
   simultaneously (0.9, 1.0, 1.1.0 and 1.1.1).

BH> Or way to get a Binary of one.

Build it. However, deb-based systems are very unfriendly in that.

BH> This one is kicking my but trying to find something that I can

   You may compile anything.

BH> Most Web-Sites give SSL errors.. Haven't been able to get any SSL

No: browsers are linked against libcrypto+libssl.

BH> Has anyone had problems with SSL on older systems??

With regularly updated OpenSSL - never.

Now I'm writing this message from a system installed ca. 2006 and only updated
   since that date.

   Deleting inactive users is normal.

OpenSSL 1.1.0 was released in 2016 (5 years ago). OpenSSL 1.1.1 (actual) was
released in 2018 (3 years ago).

You had a plenty of time to update your system.

BH> They want to lean more towards APPS and cell phones and HTTP.. They

No: that was you who killed your pretty system.
