Even to this day, some companies insist on       legacy EDI standards instead of more modern secure methods of       communication. I remember working for a company in the mid 90s that       refused to move off of their existing EDI system... why? The airlines       relied upon it for AOG (Aircraft On Ground) based shipment and       communications. Airlines!?!?
