   Yes. You are talking about two different mechansims. Crossposts and dupechecks.   
      
   Crossposting is an editor function. The "Crossposted in" line above is set by   
   my editor but there is no kludge for the tosser that this mail is crossposted.   
      
   The dupecheck is for breaking routing loops and to keep away dupes from the   
   echoarea users. It isn't designed for universal traffic reduction.
