   Most likely that means just "Gentoo already does have the actual 5.5.4 kernel,   
   while Slackware does not (yet)".   
      
   I don't really care: once `git fetch` would get a new stable tag, I'd have the   
   fresh x86_64 kernel in 15 minutes, and arm64 in a hour. The check is performed
