   No doubt you've come to the conclusion that the U. forums have a    
   poor signal/noise ratio, thanks to a lot of clueless posters!    
   However some threads based on real experience can be useful (where    
   you're looking for pointers to news-reading clients or photo    
   organising software, to take an example I've found useful). The    
   Mint/Automatix thread seemed to be full of people with little
