   Maybe I'm old fashioned (I too have PacBell/SBC/ATT) but doesn't the    
   router handle all the negotiations with the ISP?   
   In my case anyway, I put an IP address, @pacbell.net, and PW    
   in my router and it connects...   
   The ISP doesn't know (or, need to know) what's on my side of the router.
