   Well, I doubt that your monitor is the issue. And you say your xorg is    
   OK? Shows either nv or nvidia as the driver and the resolutions shown    
   can be rendered by your monitor? Has tseliot ever responded to you?    
   I've only used Ubuntu 6 months so I'm no expert but I have killed my    
   xorg once and had to fix it from the command line (sorry, old DOS    
   verbiage there) Of course, if you get no display what-so-ever that would    
   be hard to do. How about the live CD? Can you boot from that?    
   Apparently you could at some time.
