I am starting a new install Ubuntu server and I am looking for an
automated back-up/archive manager with a good GUI interface for
   restoring single files or directories.

I have found that I very seldom need to restore massive amounts of data
due to hardware failure, but I often need to restore older versions of
files due to application failure to user error. It is essential that
this process be easy and relatively painless.

   Any suggestions?
