   I have Dapper Drake 6.06 LTS installed on a PII-450/384 formerly Windows   
   box. Because of the limited resources of the machine, I installed   
   Enlightenment as the windows manager with Synaptic. I had previously   
   installed xfce. So for sessions, I now have several options, one being to   
   use Gnome but with Enlightenment as its windows manager. Using the   
   Ganymede theme for Enlightenment, and a custom theme for Gnome. I have to   
   say that I'm impressed with the performance "boost" that I see. Even the   
   Nvidia TNT2 video card renders better. This was especially noticeable when   
   I use Xnews under WINE to lurk about on private servers or in Usenet.    
      
   At the moment, I'm trialling Pan 0.120 that was installed as a deb package   
   over the previous installation. It's a bit of a PITA to re-subscribe to   
   various news groups and to re-build the scorefile. Other than that, the   
   version 0.120 seems to be a fair improvement over the the previous version.
