What the hell are you off about now? If a Windows user makes a change to
the registry or to an INI file and does not make a backup of the file
PRIOR to editing, they are a fool.

We are talking BASIC knowledge here not linux V windows or noob v expert.
I never said to depend on the editor to make a back up, I said MAKE A
BACKUP, intentionally. Stop making rediculous assumptions while you are
accusing others of doing the same.

   > A lot of editors back

Who cares if it does? I NEVER depend on editor backups, they overwrite
the previous backup. I create a backup with a date/time in the name.

No, it isnt. If you used a little logic sometimes you might get it.

BEFORE making a change to any file on your system with any editor while a
user or sudo'd to root BACK UP the damn file, if you didnt, and you
blindly pasted something into a terminal and had no idea what you are
doing the only one at fault, is the user, not the provider of the
information and not the OS or the software.
