   Imagine your net link went down for example?   
      
   A lot of news servers hold 1000s of articles. Its much faster to fetch   
   related articles if they are stored locally. Its also more efficient IMO   
   as I just "trickle" update my local storage using leafnode every hour or   
   so. If you are using an online newsreader you are downloading the lot   
   every time you connect.
