   I dual-boot XP and Edgy on this laptop.  2.4Ghz P4, with 512MB RAM.    
   Everything runs faster in the Edgy boot, except for loading certain   
   applications.  The difference?  Those applications load pieces at startup   
   in Windows, and don't in Linux.  The actual running of the app is almost   
   always faster in Linux...
