   It's possible that the CD is faulty. When I was trying to do this   
   recently the install kept stalling at various points. Then a message   
   came up making various suggestions, such as cleaning the lens of the   
   drive and also making the CD at a slower speed. The original one was   
   made at a speed of 40; I made a new one at 24 and it worked perfectly.
