   I want to edit the file menu.lst, which for   
   some reason needs root privileges to edit.   
      
   I opened the terminal and typed   
   edit boot/grub/menu.lst preceded   
   by sudo, gksudo, sudo nano, etc.   
   and none of them worked.   
   Can someone tell me the proper   
   command to edit this file and   
   save it after editing?
