   As far as I can tell, Ubuntu does not have any obvious method of adding a   
   device driver during install.  So, if your adapter is not supported, you   
   may be out of luck.   
      
   The standard Hardware compatibility test is to boot to the Live CD.  If it   
   doesn't recognize your adapter (look in the Device Manager), t is not   
   compatible.
