I have a laptop with Vista Home preloaded.
I want to install Ubuntu 6.06 but keep my
Vista installation because I might want to
   use Vista someday.
I wasn't given an actual Vista OS disk but
a recovery DVD. This is my fault because
I was dumb enough to order without reading
carefully first so I cannot add/alter any
partitions within Vista. This leaves me
with one big Vista partition and one small
   recovery partition.
I want to use Gparted to partition during
the Ubuntu installation. I have searched
many forums about this subject, some people
say you can't have a Vista partition reduced
or changed this way and have Vista boot up
again, some people say it is easy to do so.
Has anyone installed Ubuntu on a computer
with just one big partition set up for Vista
and Gparted/Installed Ubuntu there, and had
   it work?
