   I have an old amd-k62   
      
   I have upgraded the memory from 64 to 192 mb and I have upgraded the   
   hard-drive from 6 gb to 40   
      
      
   I use xubuntu dapper.   
      
   xfce loads in 23 seconds   
      
   ede loads in 12   
      
   fvwm loads in 4 with the default configuration and 6 fully configured, 13   
   with fvwm 95 configured and 31 with the crystal configuration.   
      
   icewm loads in 7 seconds   
      
   Jwm in 3 seconds.   
      
   xpde in 21 seconds.   
      
   fluxbox in 17 seconds.
