   Right click on the workspace pager and select preferences.  There is a    
   setting in the resulting dialog box for number of workspaces.

   I compile cin from source and use only the libraries available from    
   ubuntu.  There is a repo out there for cinelerra.  I've seen some    
   problems with dependencies circling around, but if you experience them    
   the archives of the mailing list at http://cvs.cinlerra.org should be    
   able to solve them.
