   I have successfully installed Ubuntu 6.06 to an old PC. And everything so    
   far works fine.   
   (I was most impressed when it picked up the wireless keyboard without    
   prompting :-)   
      
   I now want to use a TV as the monitor - it 'seems' to have loaded the Nvidia    
   drivers and is working OK except the screen resolution is too small and is    
   very hard to read.   
   It currently looks to be set at 1024x786 (Though it's hard to make out.)   
   (I've gone and put the VERY heavy 21" monitor in the attic now and just    
   don't want to drag it out again!)   
   In System>Screen Resolution> there is the option to go to 800x600 and    
   600x400.   
   But when I try to use either of these settings the system crashes and    
   restarts.   
   (- jagged bars across the screen, then blank, then log on screen -)   
      
   I really just want to make the screen font size a third larger.   
   Is it possible?   
      
   Or is it that I haven't loaded the Nvidia drivers correctly? (how do I    
   tell?)
