   I agree it (Pine) is far too slow - incidentally mark Crispin of UW    
   fame tells me it's because my news-server is broken - but the    
   interface is better. And (properly patched ) it understands Unicode    
   and utf-8 so that the characterset issues you get with slrn go away.    
   And it can read the saved posts and posts from me which otherwise    
   I'd have to use another app. to read (on top of slrn)!   
      
   But, David, I am using slrn for the moment as it (although not    
   perfect) does a better job than anything else I've tried, so thanks    
   for putting me on to it. And the header layout line you posted looks    
   fine, I've set it as default here, thanks for that.
