   I use Easy Ubuntu (I know, Iknow) for two things. Firstly for getting the   
   nVidia drivers and secondly for getting the free codecs without any danger   
   of transgressing copyright. The codecs thang worked perfectly but on a   
   complete reinstallation of Dapper Ubu I suddenly got "Can't install - fix   
   broken packages first". So I reinstalled (completely freshly after   
   formatting all) again. After d/l all the updates I tried again - same thing.   
   I've ferkled around trying to find what it thinks is the problem to no   
   avail. The only thing that is non-standard is that I have my /home partition   
   seperately (hda3).   
      
   Any ideas people?   
      
   Alternatively, is there a complete list of genuinely free codecs in the   
   repositories?
