   GPartEd is easy to use and works well.  You can unmount /home while running   
   your installed Ubuntu as long as nothing in /home is being used; i.e., you   
   would need to be logged in as root.  I assume you've arranged your   
   partitions such that /home can be expanded without resizing or moving the   
   rest of the linux install.  If that's NOT the case, you will need to do   
   the rearranging from a live CD.   
      
   In my experience, any fiddling with the partition table done without first   
   backing up EVERYTHING first seems to lead to disaster ... but if I do the   
   backup, I don't need it.  Go figure.  I urge you to back up everything even   
   though you intend to just fiddle with /home 'cuz painful mistakes are   
   easily made which could screw up anything on the disk.  That's especially   
   true with software you're just learning to use.
