   I suggest Gparted. Download the iso for it, burn the iso disk image to a   
   CD; it is a live distro made for partitioning, resizing, etc. Worked for   
   me when others like Qparted did not (for resizing my NTFS partition on a   
   new Compaq Presario 2000 series laptop).
