I had a similar problem, although not exactly the same and it turned out to
   be an IPv6 problem.

Here's how I solved it (c&p'ed from another thread)

   ----------
   IPV6
Disabled and blacklisted using the following..

   sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/aliases

   replaced
   "alias net-pf-10 ipv6"

   with
   alias net-pf-10 ipv6 off
   alias net-pf-10 off
   alias ipv6 off
   #alias net-pf-10 ipv6

   Rebooted

   Blacklisted IPV6 with
   sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

   Added the line
   blacklist ipv6

   Rebooted again...

   Problem solved.

   ---------

I'm not saying this is the solution to your problem, but it may be.

   Good luck.
