I have a problem when booting Ubuntu. It doesn't manifest itself all
the time, but when it does occur it prevents the OS from booting. I
should mention that WindowsXP which is on the same HD, when booting
through GRUB, doesn't freeze or exhibit any problems.

I did send a message to the group about this already, and overclocking
may have been a culprit. The machine is not being overclocked now but
   the error still comes up...

Pushing CTRL + ALT and F1 shows the error still which is...

   Starting up...

This always comes up, the JMB36X is my SATA Raid controller, and I do
not have RAID enabled, After this screen it goes into the Ubuntu splash
screen and sometimes freezes. I have to reboot. I suspect it is some
sort of hardware issue because cold boot sometimes works and a reboot
   from Windows NEVER works...

Is there something I can adjust in my BIOS to correct the issue, do I
have to wait until a new Ubuntu release. My graphics card is a Nvidia,
and I have Beryl etc working fine. I do suspect that its either the
RAID controller or the graphics card, but I could be experiencing issues
in Gnome due to the beta nature of Beryl.. All suggestions gratefully
   received.
