   No, I think you misunderstood. I do have Ubuntu running on two   
   clone/no-name machines plus a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop. They are all   
   working great.   
   The problem is with this other clone/no-name computer with the shutdown   
   with no probably cause......   
      
   A direct install to this machine was done and it does boot up and run for   
   a short period of time. But then its like you pulled the main power and it   
   shuts down completely.   
      
   Now the kicker is this same machine has been running Windows XP for for   
   four years without any problems. This is the ONLY machine I have left with   
   any Microsoft product and it would tickle me to no end if I can get it   
   running Ubuntu as well as Ubuntu runs on the other three machine.   
      
   I also have Ubuntu running on my grand-daughters old computer and she   
   likes it better than the Windows 2000 she was running.
